Leiben, Austria, July 19th 2021: In the Red Dot Award design competition, the Marine Hypercraft Burrasca, a supercar for the water, won over the jury in the Watercraft category and was awarded the Red Dot Award 2021 for its exceptional design. 

"La Burrasca is Italian for ‘storm’ or ‘strong wind’ and describes our super sports car for the water with its 320 hp and three-cylinder turbo engine. The internationally coveted award celebrates the Burrasca's outstanding design and groundbreaking technologies. Burrasca sets new performance and design standards
Austrian engineering coupled with Italian passion - that's how the Burrasca, the marine hypercraft from Belassi, can be described in a few words. The Burrasca combines the advantages of a high-performance racing boat with the stability of a heavier boat class. Four years of development work have gone into the Burrasca, which is handcrafted and consists of more than 2,000 high-quality parts. The renowned design studio Genesis Design GmbH is largely responsible for the design of the Belassi Burrasca.

The cockpit and chassis impress with numerous carbon parts that combine maximum strength with low weight. The hull is an extraordinary engineering achievement: thanks to the sophisticated hydrodynamics, extreme cornering speeds and very high acceleration are possible with the Burrasca. The powerful heart - the turbo three-cylinder engine especially developed by Belassi - delivers a whopping 320 hp.
